She was so beautiful it broke my brain The way her skin shown pale in the rain Her voice, it was the sound of no restraint My voice seemed so tiny and faint I'm looking for a sound to be my voice I need a moment worthy of rejoicing I want to sing out, I want to find A way out of this timeless bind I need a voice to be free I need a voice to be free I need you to see me Please set me free Everyday they say the Earth it turns Between a day and the next I can't discern How can sitting in one place burn? I wish could find a way to learn It's two steps forward and three behind I'm rotting slowly more and more in my mind I've got to make a move or I'll stay blind Don't leave me behind I need a voice to be free I need a voice to be free I need you to see me I need a voice to be free
2.
Set me free Set me free We spend all night every night in a fight Set us free It's all we know It's all we know We live each day every day far away It's all we know
3.
Another morning And the instant I open my eyes, it assails me The ads and manufactured news Expectations and responsibilities We get no rest Even our sleep is full of screaming neon Electric circuits fighting with dying synapses Another morning Another line of code in the software of this reality Humanity dripping away into the sewer drains The only way to survive is to be born to the right family The only way to survive the screaming neon of another morning

JUN-1 04:50
She was the darling of the new world A cyber goddess extraordinaire I fell in love along with everyone And I asked her out on a dare My friend was shocked as I was when she accepted And she filled my life with her music She said I helped her feel more human And she made me feel less useless All she seemed to want was a reaction And all I really wanted was some truth They're not exclusively mutual, she told me The way you make me feel is proof Her stage show was a true spectacle She lit up eyes and hearts with moving sound She'd use her implants to emulate an android And her feet never seemed to touch the ground "I like how you pretend to be a replicant" I said She smiled and said "oh yeah, pretend" My eyes grew wide with a realization and I said "aren't you afraid?" And she said "I choose my life, I don't care about the end" All she seemed to want was a reaction And all I really wanted was some truth They're not exclusively mutual, she told me The way you make me feel is proof JUN-1 they cried for her "JUN-1 is free!" They loved her even though they didn't know her Her name was Juniper to me

I don't want my mind replaced with silicon I don't need an iron ponytail I already had my face remade to perfection I don't need another derriere My legs and hair are perfect My hands are nice a chrome There's just one body part left Which could be redone Yeah if I could replace anything Take my heart and all the pain it brings Give me wires and metal any day Please take my heart away I can float 2 meters off the ground I can sing real high I've got parts that glow and spin around and around But even now love brings tears to my cyborg eyes

I Want Out 05:18
I got a visit at 2 AM on a Thursday The man who'd dared me ask her out He said "I've done something you're not going to like" And I said "Friend please tell me what this is about" He said "I think that you're going to hate me" I replied "you're my friend, right?" He said "I am, but maybe for not much longer, Because Because Because I killed your Juniper tonight" After I lifted myself from the floor I pieced it together in my mind "You're a runner, aren't you?" I cried out "You're an electric dream killer, and now you've taken mine "Did you know she was a skinjob?" he replied "She was so much more than that!" "Their existence is a crime, And you knew that fact" I noticed a message blinking in my HUD I played it while he ranted It was Juniper, from an hour before "They know, get out of this city!" she was frantic I said I wanted to leave He said I did too much harm I wore my heart on my sleeve And he cut off my arm I want out I want out
